Alger Vineyard-Manton, California
For over 40 years, the grapes at this vineyard in the Manton Valley (AVA) have thrived on the unique combination of volcanic earth, snowmelt waters from Lassen Volcanic National Park, and abundant sunshine. The vineyard's high-altitude location with cool nights and volcanic, well-drained soils on arid slopes contributes to the grapes' robust tannic structure, firm fruit acids, and distinctive mountain character with focused flavors.
